BOOKMOBILE
The first library in Lewis County was a Bookmobile that was
established in 1954. It held 800 books and traveled to 30 one room schools.
Today, the
library has a collection of 30,000 books, and the Bookmobile holds 2,500
books.
The Bookmobile makes regular monthly stops
at various locations throughout the county. It services schools, nursing
homes, shut-ins,
and anyone who
cannot access the library.
